To Create a New Router Discovery Entry
1 Under Discoveries in the navigation tree, right-click Router Discovery and choose
New Discovery.
The Router Discovery Creation screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 21:

2 In Label, enter a name for the discovery entry.
This name will be displayed in the navigation tree under
Router Discovery.
3 In Router IP Address, enter the IP address or host name (or network name) of the
router from which to launch the discovery.
4 In Community Name List, enter the names of the SNMP communities, separated by
spaces, to which any of the specified IP addresses respond.
5 In Depth, enter the search depth in number of hops.
BMC Software recommends using the default value of 3. The value 0 (zero) will
discover only the devices specified in
Router IP Address.
6 (optional) If you want to restrict discovery to devices that have not already been
discovered, select the
Discover only New Devices check box.
7 (optional) If you want all the discovered devices to be automatically inserted into
the navigation tree under
Network, select the Move Devices in “Network” Root
Domain
check box.
