ThiscommandcreatesanATMinterfaceobjectanditsassociateddevicedriverwhichdownloads
thespecifiedfirmwarefiletotheon‐boardDSP.DependingonthesizeoftheDSPfirmwareand
thecharacteristicsofthedownl oadprocedure,thisproceduremaytakeanoticeableamountof
time.Afterasuccessfulload,
theinterfaceanddevicedriverisintheadministrativedownstate
(shutdown).

Syntax of the “no” Form
Thenoformofthiscommandremovestheinterfaceobjectandallassociatedsub‐interfaceobjects.
Theinterfacemustbeshutdownfirst.

sub‐interfaceinstance.Onsuccessfulconstruction,thesub‐interfaceisintheadministrativedown
state(shutdown).
ThiscommandrequiresthattheADSLNIMbeinstalled,theDSPfirmwarefilebepresentinthe
Flash:directory,andtheATMportbeproperlyconfigured.
