Thiscommandenablesend‐to‐endF5(circuit) OAMcellproceduresforATMPermanentVirtual
Circuit(PVC)management.OAMcellsandhowtheyareusedareasfollows:
• AlarmIndicationSignal(AIS)–Receivedfromthenetworktoindicateaprobleminthe
forward‐to‐XSRdataflow.
• ContinuityCheck(CC)
–Echoedtothesenderwhenreceived.TheXSRdoesnotgenerateCC
cellsforconnectivitymanagementbutwillrespondtoCCprocedurenegotiationcells.
• Loopback–Echoedbacktothesenderwhenreceived.TheXSRsendsloopbackcellstomonitor
theend‐to‐endconnectivityonthe VC.
• Remote
DefectIndication(RDI)–Receivedfromthenetworktoindicateaprobleminthe
reverse‐from‐XSRdataflow.SenttothenetworktoindicateaprobleminthelocalnodeXSR
aswellasinresponsetoanyAIScellsreceived.
Theloopbackcellsmonitoranddeclarethecircuitup
ordownasfollows:
•ThecircuitisUPimmediatelyafterlinetrainingcompletessuccessfull y.
•ThecircuitisdeclaredDOWNwhendown‐countconsecutiveloopbackresponsecellsare
missed.
•ThecircuitisdeclaredUPwhenup‐countconsecutiveloopbackresponsecellsarereceived.
ThiscommandrequiresaproperlyconfiguredATMsub‐interface.
