(2) Selects the command source of the PU operation mode (Pr.551)
Any of the operation panel, PU connector can be specified as the command source in the PU operation mode.
In the PU operation mode, set Pr.551 to "2" when executing parameter write, start command or speed command during
the RS-485 communication with PU communication.
PU... PU operation mode, NET... network operation mode, ... without command source
The Modbus-RTU protocol cannot be used in the PU operation mode. When using the Modbus-RTU protocol, set Pr.550 to "2".
When the communication option is not fitted, the operation mode cannot be switched to the Network operation mode.
When Pr.551 = "9999", the priorities of the PU command source is USB connector > parameter unit (FR-PU07) > operation panel.
NOTE
When performing the RS-485 communication with the PU connector when Pr.551 = "9999", PU mode command source
does not automatically change to the PU connector. Change to the Network operation mode to change the command
source.
When "2" (NET mode PU connector) is set in Pr.550 and "2" (PU mode PU connector) is set in Pr.551, PU operation
mode has priority. When the communication option is not fitted, therefore, the operation mode cannot be switched to
the Network operation mode.
Changed setting value is valid at power-ON or resetting of the drive unit.
The Modbus-RTU protocol cannot be used in the PU operation mode. Select Network operation mode (NET mode
command source).
